IN THE STICKS – FESTIVAL 2020
4 days of music, well-being and partying
Dancing around roaring fires
Oh there will be bass! Our line-up of DJs and artists is sure to make you wanna dance! Smooth tunes in the afternoon, then progressively harder as the dark starry sky descends upon us.
Begin your day with yoga, followed by an invigorating dip in the sea and perhaps some paddle-boarding. Busy your fingers with wood carving, jewellery making or wilderness cooking. Join the old viking game ‘Kubb’, the perfect accompaniment to some cool ones.
Wild street food
Our wilderness chef serves up delicious street food on the festival island. How about wild boar kebab with beet hummus and cucumber dill yogurt sauce, or Swedish pulled pork with apple cabbage slaw in a flatbread wrap. Vegetarian and vegan variations available of course.
Bartenders who forage
Our bartenders forage ingredients and mix up delectable creations such as a muddled lingonberry, pine syrup and gin cocktail, old-fashioned with bourbon, thyme-honey syrup and lemon peel, or rosemary-infused vodka with vermouth and lavender syrup.

Day by Day
Into the maze
We all gather and drive the windy country-side roads out to the coast and beautiful Saint Anna. After dividing into smaller crews with one guide each, we load the kayaks and disperse into the maze of islands. Before long, the mainland is nowhere to be seen and we’re surrounded by water and wilderness.
We paddle through clusters of pretty islets, likely spot White-tailed eagles hovering high up in the sky, and eventually find our very own island to set up camp for the night.
Festival island ahead
We aim north through the beautiful landscape, if lucky we may spot seals on the way.
By late afternoon we’re greeted by smooth tunes bouncing across the water as we near the festival island. A super cozy setup awaits with DJs, bartenders, wild street food and all the other party-goers.
As the sky grows darker we light up our fires and lanterns. The DJs up their beats and we dance…far into the starry night.
The best of times
We wake up at our own leisure. Spend the day as we like, maybe some yoga or meditation and a morning dip. Join in a forest volley ball game, find your balance on a paddle-board or play around in a kayak. Try your hand at carving a pipe or making jewellery. Maybe even get a tattoo. All the while, loungy music is flowing from the stage and DJ booth.
By the afternoon, our bartenders are shaking up delectable creations with foraged ingredients and serving up cold cold beers. The perfect companion to a round of Kubb, the old Viking game that everyone loves. Yummie aromas fill the air as our wilderness chef prepare the evening meal.
As darkness falls once again and our cozified island light up, we know what to do. We dance, to progressively harder tunes, like our life depended on it. Coz this is our last night together in our island wonderland!
All good times must come to an end
It’s time to say goodbye to the charming island that’s been our festival playground for the weekend. Far from strangers anymore, we’re already reminiscing about all the fun times, as we paddle towards the mainland. It’s a beautiful route back to the launch, and the perfect way to end an energetic, yet so relaxing, festival experience.
Hopefully, many of us will see each other again next year!
